It was a night of inspiration and celebration. Back at the San Ramon Marriott where the Walk to Cure Diabetes 2004 season kicked off, it concluded Dec. 6 with an awards ceremony and update on how much we raised this year. The magic number was $850,000 for the East Bay walk held in Walnut Creek with 2,500 participants. The four Bay Area walks together raised $2.2 million. Since the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation was started, it has raised some $800 million for diabetes research. Learn more
